Our Story:
Blaise B. Lolika is the founder and Chief Executive Officer / President of Global Assistance For Women and Children. He was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo( DRC) in Africa in the city of Yangambi. He is married and has a big family. He studied nursing in the Democratic Republic of Congo and graduated to become a Midwife- Nurse.
At the beginning of the invasion of the DRC by the neighboring countries, the eastern Congo become an unsafe place to live. Blaise and his family fled to Uganda and settled in Kampala, the capital of Uganda. From there, a resettlement agency selected his family to immigrate to Tucson/Arizona in the US.
Blaise has furthered his education in care, health, and society and has worked for Tucson Medical Center, Kino Community Hospital, and the University of Arizona's Health Network.
As the war in the eastern of RDC intensified, he read newspapers, watched the news, and received first-hand reports from friends and family. Statement of continued abuses fueled his decision to advocate for the victims in the DRC and around the world. A born-again and believing in helping the needy, Blaise personally contributes 50% of his monthly earning and spends time lobbying for additional supplies and resources to help the victims in DRC.
Daniel A. Ebuka is co-founder of GWA&C who is also a midwife-nurse from the same cohort as Blaise. He has extensive experience working with humanitarian NGOs. Currently, he holds the post of Humanitarian Affairs Officer at UN-OCHA, the agency that coordinates the activities of all humanitarian NGOs in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is from Daniel that Blaise receives the information and coordinates the activities of the GAW&C on the ground to help the needy.
